Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) -The ultimate brain food

Brahmi is a perennial herb that is native to Southern and Eastern India, Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia and some regions of America.It normally grows in muddy wetlands. In research scientists everyday scientists find a new use and healing feature for Brahmi. A herb that is mentioned in ancient Ayurvedic  recordings like Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita in the 3rd Century AD 11.

In Kerala, Brahmi is given to kids because of its brain and memory boosting powers. Brahmi is so widely available as a creeper all around it is easy for people here to use it fresh daily. In Ayurveda it is a practice to give a newborn baby few drops of a mixture of  Brahmi, sweet flag, harde whole and few other ayurvedic herb. Because of it’s cleansing properties.
